STAPLETON, Ga. (WRDW) -- On Tuesday around 8 p.m., Jefferson County deputies responded to a call on Lemon Street in Stapleton, Ga.
According to a news release, deputies found 31-year-old Billy Joe Julian Logan with at least one gunshot wound when they arrived. Logan was pronounced dead at the scene.
Jeremy Harrison Rowland, 42, was taken into custody and is now being held at the Jefferson County Jail awaiting formal charges.
After a multi-agency investigation, it was discovered that Logan and Rowland had been arguing for several months over Rowland's ex-wife.
Logan's body will be transported to the GBI Crime Lab for a full autopsy.
The case is being investigated as a homicide.
