AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- Investigators say a person who was texting and driving hit and overturned a truck in Augusta Tuesday morning.

The accident happened hear the Richmond-Jefferson County border on Deans Bridge Road.

Police say the person was texting, then swerved and hit the truck, causing it to turn over.

The pickup truck driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The driver was charged with texting while driving and failure to maintain lane.
