Investigators looking for suspect in multiple car break-ins

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. -- Investigators are searching for the person involved in multiple car break-ins Friday night in North Augusta.

The break-ins all happened in the Waccamaw/Brookgreen area on West Martintown Road between 10 and 10:30 p.m.

The suspect is believed to be a black male with an average build who is in his late 30s or 40s.

The white SUV the man was driving may be a Nissan or a Mitsubishi and could have some minor damage to the back and/or side from backing over a mailbox on Socastee Drive.

Call the North Augusta Department of Public Safety if you have any information.
