AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Interviews are underway once again as the City of Augusta searches for a new human resources director. The department has been without a director for quite a while.
City Administrator Fred Russell says he's gone through lots of applications and is now in the process of calling candidates.
"We will do that, and hopefully, we will be able to bring forward a list of people we'd like to bring to town shortly there after," said City Administrator Fred Russell.
The hiring process also continues for seven other positions within the department. The application window has closed and city leaders are going through that information.
Those positions could be filled in the coming weeks.
