JENKINS COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW) -- Jenkins County Sheriff Robert Oglesby says the man who escaped from the county jail Wednesday night is now back in custody.
Deputies found Michael Middleton at a relative's home near the jail around 5:50 this morning. The Sheriff says he was hiding in a room at the home on Gay St., and credits tips to leading law enforcement to the house.
Deputies say Middleton went on the run around 9:30 Wednesday night.
Middleton was in court Wednesday to plead guilty to two armed robbery charges.
