IFF announces closure of plant in Augusta

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. has announced it is closing its fragrances ingredients plant in Augusta.

The plant will be officially closed by July 2014.

In a news release, the company says the work will be distributed to other facilities, saying: "The closing of the Augusta plant will improve efficiencies within the Ingredients manufacturing network, thereby supporting the company’s objective to ensure operations are cost-efficient and competitive."
