UPDATE: Escaped horses survive after being hit by cars

AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW) -- Three horses escaped from a farm in the Couchton area of Aiken County Thursday night.

The horses were reportedly running lose along Wagener Road near Plymouth Drive and Combs Drive.

Two of the horses were hit by cars and had to be treated by a veterinarian, but are expected to be fine.

The cars that hit them weren't so fortunate.
