HEPHZIBAH, Ga. -- Investigators are still searching for the shooter responsible for killing a 56-year-old man on Willis Foreman Road.

Hester Jackson was found shot to death Sunday morning. Investigators say they believe he may have walked in on burglars inside of his home when they opened fire.

Neighbors say Jackson was a nice, quiet man who kept to himself. They say he recently married a woman from North Carolina.

HEPHZIBAH, Ga. -- Richmond County investigators are looking for clues in a murder at a home on the 2700 block of Willis Foreman Road Sunday morning.

The call came in as a burglary and murder, and when deputies arrived, they found the homeowner, 56-year-old Hester Wilfred Jackson, dead with a gunshot wound.

Investigators say they believe Jackson arrived home early Saturday evening and stumbled upon burglars in his home.

No further details are being released.
