AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Deputies and emergency crews were dispatched at around 12:40 p.m. to a hit-and-run accident on the 900 block of 12th Street in Augusta.
According to dispatch, the call came in as a pedestrian hit.
Investigators are processing a black Ford Focus that was found with a smashed windshield at 8th Street and Walton Way.
