AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) - Another halfway house in the Laney Walker Neighborhood is sparking debate.
A Kentucky Company is requesting a special zoning from Augusta's Planning and Development Department. News 12 is told the company plans to bring a privately owned half-way house right across the street from the Augusta Transitional Center.
Neighbors in the area are upset and plan to fight it. The meeting will be held at the municipal building on Wednesday at 3 pm.
