Gandhi's grandson to speak in Augusta

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- Mohandas (Mahatma) Gandhi's grandson will be a part of the 7th annual Interfaith Service of Celebration on Jan. 18.

Arun Gandhi, grandson of Gandhi and founder of Gandhi Worldwide Education Institute, will present a speech called “Lessons from My Grandfather.”

According to a release, the Progressive Religious Coalition of Augusta will put on the event named Keeping the Dream Alive: Why Dr. King Still Matters.

The Jan. 18 event will start at 6:45 p.m. at the Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church in Augusta.
