RICHMOND COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW) -- The Georgia Supreme Court has upheld a Richmond County man's convictions and life sentence for a 2009 murder.
Carl Gibbs was convicted in the shooting death of 68-year-old Judson Boyd at a Fairmont St. home.
The high court did throw out one of Carl Gibbs' 5-year consecutive sentences for two counts of posession of a firearm. The court ruled that Gibbs should have been given only one five-year sentence because the counts revolved around a single homicide.
