AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- Georgia State Patrol troopers are looking for a suspect who took off after a chase and hit-and-run in Augusta.

Troopers say Richmond County deputies were chasing a man driving a Chevy truck.

During the chase, deputies say the suspect got in an accident with a Ford truck at the intersection of Barton Chapel and Deans Bridge roads just after 10:30 p.m.

Troopers say the suspect rolled out of his truck and onto a deputy's vehicle, scuffing the county car, and took off running.

They say two people from the Ford truck were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

GSP is investigating and searching for the suspect.
