AUGUSTA, Ga. -- News 12 has just confirmed that a Georgia State Police pilot who was recently put on administrative leave has retired.
Herbert Craven retired, effective Sept. 1.
News 12 first reported last month that Craven had been on administrative leave with pay amid allegations of a policy violation.
GSP tells us the investigation will continue and the findings will be sent to the commissioner when completed.
Craven has worked as a pilot here in the Augusta area and had been with the GSP for nearly 20 years.
