GHS Health System limiting hospital visits due to flu

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Georgia Health Sciences Health System announced Wednesday that it is temporarily restricting hospital visitation of those 17 years old and under in order to prevent the spread of the flu virus and other respiratory illnesses.

Administrators also suggest those who have flu-like symptoms should avoid visiting patients in the Georgia Health Sciences Medical Center

Officials say they decided to limit visits due to the increase in the number of flu cases among school-aged children in the area.
