Man arrested for child exploitation after investigation

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW)- The Georgia Bureau of Investigation arrested a man for child exploitation after a four-month long investigation.

A member of GBI's Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes unit, was working on the investigation from a computer in Columbia County where Jeremy Lee Burns, 38, will be charged with the crime.

Burns was arrested in Lamar County, Ga. on Thursday, Aug. 7 and transported to Columbia County on Tuesday, Aug. 12th. Investigators say Burns is now out on bond.

Burns is from Bessemer, Alabama where he works at Eagle Vision Eyecare, investigators said.
