Funeral home confirms death of Augusta lawmaker Jack Connell

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- News 12 has learned a longtime Georgia lawmaker has died.

Jack Connell was a member of the Georgia House of Representatives from 1969 to 2002. He's credited with bringing growth to Augusta and to the medical community.

River Watch Parkway was dedicated in Connell's honor back in 2006.

Thomas Peet Funeral Home confirmed that Connell had died.
