NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW) -- Fundraisers have been planned for one of the victims in the Augusta Riverwalk attack.

The boot drives for Wesley Spires will be held on May 18, May 25, June 1 and June 8 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Volunteers will be set up at the North Augusta locations of Bi-Lo, Gold's Gym, Chick-fil-a, Firehouse Subs, Walmart and Belk.

Firefighters from Beech Island, Belvedere and Westside will be volunteering this weekend. Spires worked as a volunteer fighter at Westside Fire Department.

All of the money that is collected will be put in an account in Spires' name at the SRP Federal Credit Union to help pay for his medical bills and personal expenses.

Organizers say if you can't make it to the boot drives, you can donate to the SRP account.
