WAYNESBORO, Ga. (WRDW) -- It looks like a Waynesboro police officer won't be getting his job back, at least not yet.

News 12 received the review of Chief Deputy Roosevelt Lodge's appeal today.

In it, City Manager Jerry Coalson says he believes police Chief Augustus Palmer made the correct decision to fire Lodge.

Coalson says Lodge was insubordinate and he did not cooperate with the internal investigation into his conduct.

Lodge still has the option to appeal his fire to the Waynesboro city council.
