Former GRU hospital worker found not guilty on sexual assault charges

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- A former medical worker was found not guilty on all counts after being accused of sexually assaulting two patients and touching a third inappropriately.

Bernard Edwards was found not guilty on simple battery, aggravated sexual battery, child molestation and sexual assault against a patient in a hospital, the clerk of court said.

Edwards was fired as a mental health technician at Georgia Regents University on Jan. 8, 2013 for gross misconduct.
