Firefighters put out flames twice at same address

Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- Augusta firefighters responded twice to 2343 Walton Way because of fires Saturday night.

The first fire started just before 9 p.m. The house was empty when the fire started.

Homeowner Jim Cartee says firefighters told him it was safe to sleep in his home last night. On Sunday morning, another fire started in the attic at the same address.

Firefighters were called back to the scene and had everything under control in minutes.

"I can't say anything bad. They have been unbelievable good. They helped us move furniture and clean up water," said homeowner Jim Cartee.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
