Fire crews respond to blaze at Augusta chemical plant

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- A chemical plant fire caused road closures near Doug Barnard Parkway in Augusta Sunday evening.

Dispatch says a fire broke out at the plant, Finnchem USA Inc. around 7:30 p.m.

Dispatch says both lanes of Doug Barnard and Tobacco Road were closed following the fire.

No one was hurt. Workers have since been allowed back into the building.
