GROVETOWN, Ga. (WRDW) -- A sleeping family escaped a house fire in Columbia County on Tuesday, fire crews said.
The Martinez-Columbia County Fire Department responded to the house fire burning on Clifden Avenue in Grovetown. Flames were visible as of 2:15 p.m. The home is located within the Amherst Subdivision.
No word on the official cause of the fire. As of now, the house looks to have significant damage.
