A father and daughter are in jail after the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office say investigators found a chop shop in Augusta.

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- A father and daughter are in jail after the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office say investigators found a chop shop in their backyard.

Parts of a stolen 1991 Ford F150 truck were found in the backyard of the Jones residences on Byrd Road after a tip to investigators, the Sheriff's Office said.

Sammy Hardwick Jones, Jr., 37, was arrested and charged with felony theft by taking of a motor vehicle and a felony operating a chop shop. Cheryl Adele Jones, 17, was arrested for felony theft by taking of a motor vehicle.
