Denmark man dies after overturning his car in Barnwell Co.

BARNWELL COUNTY, S.C. -- A man died following a single-car accident on Highway 70 Wednesday morning.

Dustin Richey of Denmark was pronounced dead at 6:27 a.m. at the Barnwell County Hospital. The 23-year-old died from head and chest trauma after he was ejected out of the car.

Richey was driving west on Highway 70 when investigators say he drifted left across the highway, over-corrected right, ran off the road and flipped his car. He was not wearing a seat belt.
