Women enter guilty pleas to elder abuse case

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW) -- Two women charged in the death of an elderly woman pled guilty in court this week.

Two women charged in the death of an elderly woman pled guilty in court this week. Deborah Hill pled guilty to voluntary manslaughter, cruelty to the elderly, and cruelty to children. Brittany Hurst plead guilty to cruelty to the elderly.

Columbia County investigators say an 85 year old woman had been dead for days before the women called for help in 2011.

Reports say she died of neglect and was deprived food.
