AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- Eight teens were indicted earlier this week for unlawful gang activity among other charges in connection with a shootout at Thames Place back in June.

  • Dijon Cortez Abbott, 17
  • Marquise Deion Lewis, 17
  • Nicholas Antwone Lockhart, 17
  • Jordan Jamal Lovett, 18
  • LeDarius Donnell Montgomery, 17
  • LaGrandes Orlando Montgomery, 19
  • Michael DiQuez Scott, 18
  • Jerome Marquise Smith, 19

Investigators say they believe the shootout was a result of a dispute between two rival gangs.

One of those indicted, 17-year-old Dijon Cortez Abbott, was also indicted for malice murder and murder charges.

Those charges are from a shooting on Kensington Drive in July, where investigators say Abbot shot and killed Marquez Eubanks.
