UPDATE: Boil water advisory lifted for New Ellenton

NEW ELLENTON, S.C. (WRDW) -- The New Ellenton Commission of Public Works has lifted a boil water advisory that was issued last week.

The following statement was issued: "The New Ellenton CPW has repealed the advisory notice to all customers affected by boil water advisory. The NECPW apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused."

NEW ELLENTON, S.C. (WRDW) -- People in the Dry Branch Road to Medwell Hill Road area are urged to boil their water until Saturday or until further notice, according to the New Ellenton Commission of Public Works.

The area was affected by a main line break on Highway 19.

Anyone at homes or workplaces in between who are seeing pressure loss are also asked to boil water.

Boil water for one minute prior to drinking or cooking.
