Driver airlifted to hospital after accident in Evans

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. -- A late-night crash has turned deadly for a 19-year old teen.

The Columbia County Coroner's Office confirmed Jordan Elizabeth White died at 12:42 p.m. Thursday at a local hospital.

White was involved in the wreck at the intersection of Ronald Reagan Drive and Washington Road on Wednesday night around 11:30 p.m.

Columbia County deputies say the crash involved a car, a truck and a semi. Investigators say White was driving the car and turned when a truck ran a red light and hit her. After those two hit, they managed to hit a tractor trailer that was stopped at the intersection.

Charges are pending against the driver of the truck.

EVANS, Ga. -- A teenage girl is fighting for her life following an overnight accident in Evans.

It happened around 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of Ronald Reagan Drive and Washington Road.

Deputies say the driver of a truck was driving westbound on Washington Road when a car making a turn from Ronald Reagan Drive to Washington Road collided with the truck.

After the two collided, the truck somehow hit an 18-wheeler that was stopped at the intersection.

We're told the driver of the car, a 19-year-old female, was airlifted to the hospital. The two passengers riding with her were sent to the hospital with injuries. The driver of the truck was also sent to the hospital for evaluation.

The crash is under investigation.
