Update: Driver dies, passenger injured after SUV crashes into home

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- Bernice Lambert, the passenger in Monday's car versus house accident, was sent to the hospital overnight Monday.

She only received a broken finger whereas her husband, William Lambert, died from his medical issue that caused him to pass out and wreck.

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- The Richmond County Sheriff's Office confirms a man involved in a Monday morning accident has died.

58-year-old William Lambert was driving a 2004 Lincoln Aviator SUV when he suffered a medical issue and passed out. He lost control of the SUV and collided with two mail boxes before slamming into the side of a house on Meadowbrook Drive not far from Windsor Spring Road.

No one was injured inside the home.

An ambulane took Lambert and his wife, Bernice to the hospital.
