GROVETOWN, Ga. (WRDW) -- Two people are recovering after a car tumbled several times, injuring the driver and ejecting the passenger.
The Georgia State Patrol says the crash happened on Newmantown Road in Grovetown around 11:30 p.m. Friday.
Officers say the driver, 25-year-old Michael Lee Strickland, lost control of the vehicle, sending the car over the oncoming traffic lane and off the road where it struck a culvert.
That's when the car rolled over several times, ejecting the passenger, 22-year-old Christopher Strickland.
Officers say the driver has been charged with reckless driving, driving on a suspended license, a seat belt violation and failure to maintain lane.
The passenger was charged with a seat belt violation.
