Driver charged after accident involving deputy

AUGUSTA -- A Richmond County deputy has a case of road rash after a morning accident.

The Sheriff's Office says a truck driver pulled out in front of Officer Tim Hardin, a motorcycle deputy, at the intersection of Walton Way and St. Sebastian Way just after 10:30 a.m.

Investigators are charging the truck driver with failure to yield and driving with an expired tag.

The Hardin had minor injuries.
