RICHMOND COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW) -- The Richmond County Board of Education confirms Dr. Angela Pringle has accepted and signed the offer to be the next superintendent.

School board member Jack Pagett says board president Venus Cain will sign the contract over the weekend or on Monday. Dr. Pringle is set to start the day after Labor Day, September 2nd.

Padgett also says Pringle requested two changes to the contract that were accepted. One change being, she will keep her personal cell phone instead of using the county's and the school board will pay her bill. The other change, the school board will give her a 60 day notice if her employment status changes.

Pringle's salary is said to be around $170,000 a year. That is similar to the two previous superintendents.
