NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW) -- North Augusta Public Safety is investigating a shooting that happened in Richmond County early Tuesday morning.
Richmond County dispatch confirms shots were fired at the intersection of Broad Street and Gordon Highway around 3:17 a.m.
Two people were injured and then drove a car into North Augusta where they crashed into a ditch at Greg's Gas Plus.
The two were rushed to GRU. Investigators are telling News 12 that one of those victims has died.
Richmond County Chief Deputy Coroner Kenneth Boose is identifying him as 28-year-old Antonio Counts from North Augusta. Boose reports that Counts was shot multiple times.
The other victim suffered a gunshot wound to the leg.
Investigators say it started at a club on the 500 block of Broad Street.
