UPDATE: Deputies end search for armed robber, no suspect found

BEECH ISLAND, S.C. (WRDW) - Aiken County Deputies have concluded their search for the suspect in an armed robbery on Storm Branch Road.

The suspect was not located. Deputies say a man with a hand gun robbed The Four Season Food and Fuel at the intersection of Storm Branch Road and Pine Log Road.

Officials received the call around 5:30 a.m. from the clerk of the store. When deputies arrived, they were told that a black male, approximately 5'8" wearing a blue and white jacket and possibly gray pants, came into the store and demanded money at gunpoint.

The suspect ran away and was last seen running into the wood line behind the store.

The bloodhound tracking team did respond to the incident location. No one was injured as a result of the armed robbery.

If anyone has any information, call the Sheriff's Office or Crime Stoppers.
