AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Deputies are looking for the driver of a vehicle that wrecked and then caught fire early Tuesday morning.
The wreck happened on the westbound ramp of Gordon Highway around 3 a.m. Deputies were called to the scene, where they found a car on fire. Fire crews were called out to extinguish the fire, but the driver was not found.
Deputies say there is no indication that the driver of the vehicle is injured, but they are not sure where he or she is. Crews searched the area around the vehicle.
A deputy says he spotted a vehicle driving more than 100 miles per hour about 3 miles from where the wreck happened. It's unclear if this is the same vehicle.
