Deputies investigate armed robbery at Hephzibah convenience store

HEPHZIBAH, Ga. (WRDW) -- Richmond County deputies are investigating a late-night armed robbery at a convenience store.

It happened at the McTeer Food and Fuel on the 4000 block of Windsor Spring Road.

Deputies got the call around 11:30 p.m.

A store employee told News 12 that a person came into the store and demanded cash from the register. The person then took a pack of cigarettes and left the scene. The clerk said the man was wearing a ski mask and had a tattoo on his left hand.

No one was injured in the incident.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned black male who was wearing all black, including a black ski mask and black sweatshirt.
