AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) --The Richmond County Sheriff's Office along with the North Leg BP station is now offering a $5,000 reward as deputies continue the search for a suspect in the Monday armed robbery of the BP gas station located on Gordon Highway.

Investigators say a black male wearing long plaid shorts, a black hooded sweatshirt and a camouflage scarf over his face with black gloves and armed with a silver handgun robbed the BP station at 2061 Gordon Highway on Monday.

Deputies say the suspect held the clerk and a customer who walked into the robbery at gunpoint while demanding money. After the suspect left with an undisclosed amount of money, witnesses saw him enter the passenger's side of a newer model medium green Chrysler 300.

Now, the Sheriff's Office and BP station are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspects in this armed robbery.

If you have information, you can reach the Sheriff's Office at 706-821-2020 or dispatch at 706-821-1080 and ask for an on duty investigator.
