Defendants plead not guilty in McDuffie Co. shooting, dragging death

MCDUFFIE COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW) -- The two people accused of shooting a McDuffie County woman and dragging her body from a car for multiple miles have pleaded not guilty.

Ricky Wells and Tina Wells were in court on Wednesday for the killing of Jennifer Kitchens Wells in 2011.

The District Attorney's Office has filed a motion seeking life in prison without parole for the defendants.

A special court session will scheduled for this summer.
