Deal names new Board of Regents member

ATLANTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- Gov. Nathan Deal appointed James M. Hull to the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia, according to a release.

Hull currently serves on the boards of the Community Foundation of the CSRA, Medical College of Georgia Foundation, Augusta State University Foundation, Georgia Regents University Board of Visitors and the Augusta Warrior Project, where he was a co-founding member and president.

According to a release, Hull is a recipient of an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree from Georgia Regents University, United Way’s Alexis de Tocqueville Society’s Founders Award, Augusta Bar Association’s Liberty Bell Award, Augusta State University’s Presidents Award, and the Society of Fundraising Professionals Philanthropist of the Year Award.

Gov. Deal’s Communications Office said Hull is a Rotary Club Paul Harris Fellow and past president of the Augusta Assembly.
