AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. (WRDW) -- A North Charleston man was pronounced dead yesterday after crashing on Highway 389.
Tyler J. Major, age 22, was driving a 1998 Lincoln at high speeds south on John Nunn HWY near Perry, when he lost control of his vehicle, rolled multiple times, and was thrown from the car. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
Major was transported to Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia, SC where he was pronounced dead at 8:25 p.m.
A toxicology report is pending. This is the fourth fatal traffic accident in Aiken County of this year.
