COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW) -- Construction work for the Washington Road widening project will begin on Sept. 2, Columbia County EMA director Pam Tucker said.
The project will take three years and span three miles from William Few Parkway to Gibbs Road. The project also includes the widening of the G.B. “Dip” Lamkin Bridge over Euchee Creek.
The initial phase will begin with clearing and grubbing the new right-of-way limits starting on the western end of the project at William Few Parkway and finish up at Gibbs Road, Tucker said.
