Middle Circuit DA Hayward Altman said he plans to seek the death penalty for a man accused of murdering a woman near Wadley.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW)- Middle Circuit DA Hayward Altman said he plans to seek the death penalty for a man accused of murdering a woman near Wadley.

Anthony Lemon is being held without bond. He's charged with murder, aggravated assault, kidnapping, false imprisonment, rape, aggravated sodomy, and failure to register as a sex offender.

Jamillah Mia Holmes' body was found May 12 at a garbage collection site on River Road near Wadley.
