Crews put out Augusta vacant house fire

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- The Augusta Fire Department extinguished a vacant house fire as of 1:40 p.m. Monday.

A fire started at a vacant home off the 3800 block of Peach Orchard Road, the fire department said. The house had been boarded up several months ago and had been condemned by the county.

The fire department said there were no injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
