UPDATE | McDuffie tractor-trailer drivers ID'd in fatal crash

MCDUFFIE COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW) -- The coroner has identified the drivers in a fatal crash in McDuffie County on Monday night.

Jason Wright, 40, died in the accident while driving his tractor-trailer on Monday night. Deputies responded to Highway 17 and Wire Road to an accident involving two tractor-trailers around 10:40 last night.

Georgia State Patrol said one tractor-trailer ran a stop sign and hit the other tractor-trailer.

The driver of the southbound truck, Wright, was dead on scene. The driver of the westbound truck, 28-year-old Aniel Ortiz Bofill, had minor injuries, Georgia State Patrol said. Charges are pending against Bofill.

The Sheriff's Office and Georgia State Patrol worked to clean up the accident for hours. Crews left the scene around 9:30 Tuesday morning.
