Augusta, Ga (WRDW) - Fire department officials say no one was injured in a house fire near Bennock Mill Road and Horseshoe Road in Augusta.

Crews were battling the fire that started around 7:45 this morning, according to dispatch.

The fire chief says no one is living in it right now and no injuries have been reported. He says a wire in the back of the house shorted and started the fire.

There is damage to the back outer wall and the bedroom, but the home is not a total loss.
