BEECH ISLAND, S.C. (WRDW) -- A small leak in a hydraulic line caused a fire at the SCE&G plant in Beech Island, a company representative said.

Crews were called out to the plant on Urquhart Drive around 4 p.m. Saturday.

News 12 crews on the scene saw at least 4 fire trucks from Beech Island, Aiken, and Jackson.

SCE&G's Angie Townsend says the fire was out within the hour, and maintenance work is scheduled for Sunday.
