BURKE COUNTY (WRDW) -- A couple is behind bars today, after the Burke County Sheriff's Office deputies say they busted a chop shop.

40-year old David Cadle and his 34-year old girlfriend, Brandy Jordan, are both behind bars facing serious charges.

Investigators say they found Cadle stripping parts from a stolen Ford F-150 pickup truck behind his home on Corley Road in Hephzibah. The Sheriff's Office is charging him with operating a chop shop and theft by receiving stolen property. Cadle is currently in jail on a $50,675 bond.

Deputies say Cadle would strip the parts and Jordan would sell the parts. She is being charged with theft by receiving stolen property.

Along with the Ford pickup, The Sheriff's Office says deputies also found parts from at least three other vehicles. In all, Cadle is believed to have cost more than $35,000 in losses.

Investigators say they are going over more stolen vehicle cases and other incidents to see if the couple can be charged in any additional thefts.
