WASHINGTON, Ga. (WRDW) -- A Tignall councilwoman was arrested on Friday after allegedly getting involved in a fight at the Reese Booker Center.
According to investigators, Malinda Mills is accused of hitting a juvenile. The juvenile was taken to the hospital to be checked.
Mills is charged with misdemeanor affray and battery and was booked into the Wilkes County Jail. She was released on $4,700 bond.
This isn't the first time Mills has had trouble with the law. On Feb. 5, she was indicted by a Wilkes County grand jury on one charge of theft by taking. A woman claims Mills stole some of her furniture last year.
