Controlled burn scheduled for today

BARNWELL, S.C. (WRDW) -- The U.S. Forest Service-Savannah River is conducting another controlled burn today.

The burn of 226 acres is taking place 2 miles northeast of the Atta Range.

Smoke may be visible from Highway 278 and the Williston Barricade.

Drivers could see heavy smoke along Kennedy Pond Road between Phinizy Road and timber compartment 26.
